We found a great web application to optimize the images called Imagify. We will give access to everyone and you can use it for FREE.
Image optimization is about reducing the file size of your images as much as possible without sacrificing quality so that your page load times remain low. It’s also about getting your images to rank on Google and other image search engines.

New system update with bugs fixed, some small functionalities, new bag labels, and a NEW Premium Committee Module.
New Premium Module
Committee Module
The Committee module will help Toy Libraries to manage their volunteer work in an easy and fast way.
The module provides a Committee page with the list of members and if they have keys or bank access, each Committee has their own personal details page and individual timesheet. There is the section with meetings, minutes, and events, so, everything a Toy Library will need.
This module will have different sections. The yellow sections, free for everyone, are Toy Library Legal information page and committee page list and detail. The orange sections, free only for Platinum Hosting/Setup, are Committee Timesheet, Events and Meetings Page with details, and the Home Page has the Current month activities and the Event/Meeting Calendar for the current month and 2 next months.
Toy libraries with Platinum Hosting will receive this for FREE. Silver and Gold hosting will be required to pay the one-off cost of the module.
The module is on promotion until 25th May 2021. Cost: $50 Promotion cost: $33

The reservation system has been updated and now it’s NOT possible anymore to make a reservation from the admin and members website that is less than 3 days.

- Ticket #787 from Taupo Toy Library: Income – Hi there – have just logged in to add payment to a members account and had a look at dynamic dashboard – it is only registering that one payment so showing income for April only $13.50 – we were open on the 1st and payments between the 1st and 2nd are $166 – can this please be rectified. - Ticket #801 from Pegasus Toy Library: Active Reservation link on the Home page not working – When I click the link ‘click to see’, it takes me to a 404 error page.

The field battery is dynamic, so, if there is something different from “not need it” it will be seen if not the Donated by it will show up instead.

New Premium Module
Company as a Member
This module will allow toy libraries to add a company such as childcare, a recreation centre, or a school to their list of members. This module will have its own page and Company List separate from your toy library’s Member List.
Toy libraries with Gold or Platinum Hosting will receive this for FREE. Silver hosting will be required to pay the one-off cost of the module.

Sub-category drop down on Toy Pages - Member Website
We have added the Sub-category drop down on each Toy Pages list in the Member website, requested from Taupo Toy Library.
Reservation date in the Toy Reservable Page - Member Website
We added the Reservation date in the Toy Reservable Page in the Member Website requested from Rolleston Toy Library.
After clicking the menu the page will appear.
When a member will open the page will see NO toys in the list, only after they choose the date when they like to reserve the toy for, all the toy will appear.
We also added the cache system on the form, which means that when the member will click the toy and come back on the same page the filter will remain.
Automatic email Page - More functionalities
The page has been updated and there are now 2 more columns/functionalities in the table.
You now have the column called “Email Admin“, if you choose Yes, you will receive the admin email report even if no member will receive the email from the system. If you choose No, the admin report will be sent only when at least one member is receiving the email.
With the button “Send it now“, you can click the button to send all the emails at the moment you click, remember that the automatic email must be active or no email will be sent!

- Ticket #755 from Taupo Toy Library: No images showing – Good morning – so on our stocktake page and also if we look at the loan history of members a lot of our toys show as no image where they all actually have photos loaded – can this be rectified so the images show in all areas across the system consistently please – thanks in advance.
- Ticket #745 from Nelson Community Toy Library: I am unable to see the list of click and collect bookings – I have booked in 1 member for a toy drop off on Saturday and 1 committee member has booked in for a drop off on Wednesday. These are not showing when I look at my click and collect list.
- Ticket #759 from Rolleston Toy Library: Member saying reservation limit reached when it hasn’t – Hi – one of our members Amanda Bailey is having trouble reserving her 4th toy for the 28th February. Can you please advise why this is happening as she only has 3 reserved? It says she has reached her limit of 4 toys.
- Ticket #776 from Devonport Toy Library: Member statements – When you delete a payment – it doesn’t display in the balance and on the payment page, but when you send an email receipt it’s still there. There are then 2 balances – “member balance” and “receipt total”. Why are deleted transactions not actually deleted?
- Ticket #737 from Pegasus Toy Library: Members Expired by date range group by membership not working – Put in a date range of 3 Dec 20 to 4 Feb 21 and the report showed no expired members however going into the Members Expired list there are 8.
- Ticket #724 from Taupo Toy Library: Dynamic Dashboard – Hiya, so on the graph headed loans per financial year in the last 5 years the number for Jan 2021 shows as Jan 2020 – can this please be rectified. Many thanks.
New Automatic email
member_statement
You will be able to send an email with the last 3 months of transactions on each 1st day of the month to all your ACTIVE and NOT Expired members.
You just need to choose to activate or not and change the email template called “member_statement”. No settings to setup.

Note: only the table is automatic and comes from the shortcode called “[member_transaction]” everything else is part of the email template that you can change

It gives you the list of the last 3 months of transactions in a table.
You can use the shortcode in any BULK emails and also in the AUTO emails.

Remember, on some members that list will be very long! We suggest you activate the Transaction Page in the Member Website.

- Ticket #705: Can’t reserve on 21 March: Can you please look into why we can’t reserve toys on the 21st March? Says its an invalid date
- Ticket #701: Toy not able to be reserved: member *** is trying to reserve toy *** for 7th March. When she goes to reserve it, nothing happens and its the same from the admin side. The dates highlight when selected but when we click ‘add reservation’ the highlighting goes away and doesn’t save. No error messages come up at all
- Ticket #698: member unable to reserve toys: Member *** is trying to reserve toys for 17/01/21. She currently has 2 toys reserved but when she tries to reserve another she is getting an error message saying that she already has 4 toys reserved (which is the limit). I have looked at reservations and she definately only has 2 for that date
- Ticket #691: Member balance is different on the payment screen from the loan screen: A casual member rejoined recently – she had an existing debit balance that she queried and put a concession card on her account. On payment screen it continued to show a debit balance. I did an adjustment to her account and then noticed on the loan screen that her balance was completely different – reread a note left by other librarian and think she had noticed same thing. Noticed on laptop but screenshot from my smartphone.
- Ticket #672: Membership levy charge automatically appearing for online sign ups : When members who have selected the duties membership sign up online and we approve them, they are also automatically charged the levy along with the yearly fees (see attachment). Why does this do that and can you please stop this from continuing?

I’ve shown a few members our test site and how it works and they all say the same thing it would be easy to miss as a lot of mums can be tired, maybe distracted if their children are playing up etc.”

“Hiya – so with the delete function is there any chance – as a safe guard – that there can be an “are you sure you want to delete…yes or no” pop up that comes up? At this stage it is really easy to hit delete by mistake and all info is automatically gone. The other day I was making a few changes in regards to memberships and accidently clicked on delete instead of edit – I then had to go through and re do the membership type and then re-instate all members to it – luckily it was just a small category
I think it would be a really good safe guard. Cheers”

New module a simple human resource function, with a list of employees (current or old), timesheets, reports and much more.
This is a functionality in your Admin website under the Menu Setup under the “Running your toy library” section.
Te Puke Toy Library asks for a simple timesheet by our ticketing system and we decide to create something more powerful.
The module has a home page and 3 different sections:
- Employees (current and former)
- Timesheet
- Committee
