]]>New SMTP email delivery for MiBaseNZ
Due to the increase of emails going into spam for many toy libraries, we decided to start using third-party software for email delivery.
Each Toy Library will have a sub-account on the software and see all emails sent, who received them and, of course, nothing will go into spam anymore.
The software we choose is SMTP2GO, if you are curious, here is the info: https://www.smtp2go.com/

We asked some Toy Library to be part of the test for 3 weeks and we had some great feedback:

Hi, Yep it worked well for us. I ask a couple of members whose emails had been going to spam and they reported they were receiving them in their inbox for the first time in months.
No more complaints, no more having to chase members!
The previous email system sent many of our member's emails to spam. Since the move, this is no longer happening and all those who were not receiving our emails in their inbox are now doing so. No more complaints, no more having to chase members! The features that come with this system are quite handy as well. The summary page giving an overview of emails sent is great, but to see on the Activity Report a breakdown of these emails, who has opened them, who has clicked on the links, if it's been rejected or the member has unsubscribed, plus many other options allows us to see any issues if they ever do come up plus an interesting overview of what happens to our emails.
Would love to continue with this programme though
Hi, It was great to see how many emails were sent, opened, or not opened, bounded back etc. We still had some emails go to spam or junk folders though. Would love to continue with this programme though.
Overall it looks great
It looks like the majority are going to their main email inboxes - not junk or spam. And it's great to be able to see the reports on incorrect email addresses - will be quick and easy to rectify from here. Overall it looks great and thanks for continuing to look at new options.
Important info
All Toy Libraries with SILVER and GOLD subscriptions will have 2000 emails to send each month, PLATINUM will have 5000 emails.

We are very happy to announce that we are moving the MiBaseNZ System and all toy libraries websites in a new server. Bigger, Faster and with more tools that we can use to improve your visibility in Google
We are moving all toy libraries in groups, please read the calendar below.
VERY IMPORTANT
Please, take a note of your day and DO NOT TOUCH your system or you will lose data and we don't want that to happen.
We need 6 hours to move your system, you will receive an email when everything is fine.
If for any reason you are OPEN on Sunday, please send us an email and we will move you during the night.
COMMUNICATION TO YOUR MEMBERS
While we are moving your system you will, luckily, see a warning message or downtime, it will be great if you send an email to ALL your members to explain what is going to happen on Sunday night. For our tester during Saturday night!

- Ticket #898 from Taupo Toy Library: Re Reservations – We added a setting that block a Member to re-reserve the same toy for a X number of days. Settings name “block_reservation_from_last”.
- Click & Collect: The drop-off function has been re-called “Booking” and now is connected to the Click & Collect.

Booking System
MiBaseNZ has created a Booking System for admin, members, and the public to be able to book the day and time to visit the Toy Library under the Traffic Light system.
This module doesn’t need a reservation system and it’s connected to the Days & Times page.
Cost: $30
Features
New button in the Reserve menu
Go to Reserve -> Booking System
5 simple settings
#300 – booking_active: Do you want to activate the Booking System or the Click and Collect on your member website?
#301 – member_allowed: How many members are allowed to come per slot?
#302 – minutes_slots: How many minutes per each slot?
#304 – booking_public: Do you want to activate the Booking System on your public website? If Yes, you will see a new page on your public website.
#305 – covid_vaccine: The Toy Library can activate the drop-down option to ask if the member or a visitor is vaccinated or not for covid19.
Content and Title for the Member and Public Website
To personalise your Booking System page, you can edit to your liking the title and content of the Member and Public Website content page.
Booking List
You can see on this page a list of all the bookings made by admin, members, and Public on the Member and Public Website. The dates and times are taken from what is set up on the Days and Times page.
Admin: Add a booking
An Admin can add a booking for a member to come.
Member: Add a booking
Members are able to book the day/time from the member website.
No reservation needed.
Custom email template
Once a member has made a booking, a confirmation email will be sent to their email address.
Admin can edit this template to their liking under setup.
Admin email
An email will also be sent to the toy library email address informing admin a new booking has been registered.
Public: Add a booking
A non-member can book a spot if she/he want to visit the toy library but she/he is not a member yet.

We found a great web application to optimize the images called Imagify. We will give access to everyone and you can use it for FREE.
Image optimization is about reducing the file size of your images as much as possible without sacrificing quality so that your page load times remain low. It’s also about getting your images to rank on Google and other image search engines.

Has been added a new setting called “last_toys_created” where you can add the numbers of toy you want to see on the Home page. Remember to use a multiple of 3.
- Toy picture upload: Block the upload when the image is bigger than 2 MB.
