How to find and manage stolen or missing toys, mark them from the loan desk or Toy List, and return them when they come back.

What it is

Use Admin → Toys → Stolen / Missing (secret-agent icon) to manage toys that are stolen, missing, or never returned after a long overdue loan.

Who appears on the page

• Toys with status STOLEN or MISSING
• Open loans that are overdue by 6 months or more

Toys marked STOLEN or MISSING (and loans overdue 6+ months) do not appear on the normal Toys on Loan list — they belong here instead.

Automatic MISSING

When you open the page, MiBaseNZ checks for toys that are withdrawn / not active but still on loan and overdue 6 months or more. Those toys are set to MISSING, and the member is flagged with the alert Missing/Stolen Toys.

How to mark a toy Missing or Stolen

You can mark a toy from:

• Stolen / Missing page (actions menu)
• Toy List → Actions → Missing
• Toys on Loan → Actions
• Loan desk list → Actions

The open loan is kept (so you can still see who had it). A clear reason is recorded, and the member can be flagged with Missing/Stolen Toys.

Returning a found toy

On the Stolen / Missing page, open the actions menu (⋮) and choose Return. The loan is closed and the toy status is set back to ACTIVE.

Columns and export

• Toy ID — blue and clickable (opens toy detail; white button if there is no photo)
• Category — the real category name
• Other columns include Name, Status, Member, Due, Days, Marked, Reason
• Export to Excel is available from the page

Related status settings

STOLEN is available as a toy status when you edit a toy, on stocktake, and in Not Active filters.
